Today was absolutely perfect.

I grew up going to school with Hannah & her family, though I am closer in age to her sister. Her family has been a huge encouragement in my photography career. I shot both her sister & her senior portraits, and when the opportunity came, I was stoked to hear that Joey would be proposing. Hannah & Joey (though I haven’t known them as a couple) were the sweetest to photograph. I loved the care they have for each other - such trust between them.

This absolute perfect day (and I mean clear sky, high of 75 degree kind of day) was a lakeside celebration, both intimate and joyous. It was an honor to be involved in such a memorable day of old friends & new chapters.

I met Jared & Kat when an opportunity presented to move to Brenham and become their Bar Manager for their coffee shop. This change was one of the biggest leaps I have taken. We first bonded over dogs and a good cup of coffee but have now become dear friends as years have come and gone.

This session was a quick mini but portrays a sweet glimpse into their lives. They have 2 french Brittany spaniels named Ruby & Rye that “work” as shop dogs with the occasional hunting session. Not only have Kat and Jared become family, but so have their pups. Its a great joy to work with friends that are practically family. Even Scout agrees.

This wedding was a special one.

I met Katrina while I was working in Brenham, TX in a coffee shop. She quickly became a regular but also a friend. She had told me of her boyfriend, at the time, Chad. They had been together 12 years and shortly after, they became engaged! Originally, their wedding was to take place in October of 2020, but we all know how that went. Finally, 2021 summer came and plans were becoming a reality.

This wedding was so thought through and beautiful. Enjoy a glimpse into one of the most beautiful weddings I have seen yet.

This necklace was originally a ring that has been passed down for generations. It was reset into a necklace a few years ago for the future generations to come. Its been worn in family weddings and finally it came time for Katrina to wear it. Talk about a beautiful legacy to pass on.

“People, let me tell ya ‘bout my best friend!”

When you find company like this, you want to keep them close. Kaysha quickly became a best friend back in 2015. I was finishing my last semester at DBU (almost didn’t make it because of one class: Physics. Need I say more -ha!) and Kaysha lived in the area. A mutual friend introduced us at a local coffee shop. From there, it’s history. Many ask if we are sisters or even old friends. They are always amazed when I respond with a “Nope!”

This session was a “tour de New Braunfels” on a beautiful summer evening after floating the river. Classic summer in New Braunfels, right?! Enjoy just two gals & a dog enjoying the hill country air.

Morgan graduating was a cause for celebration. I met her when she was in elementary school and now she is such an amazing woman!
